Flood Infusion is popular treatment for water leakage in Singapore. Flood infusion treatment is a chemical-based method that enters the crack line and gap to create extensive sealing. It is also known as chemical infusion waterproofing; it is specially formulated solution made from a combination of organic and inorganic polymers. The organic polymer is resistant to household and construction chemical providing long term surface protection. It is suitable to be performed against water pressure. This is a highly efficient solution that makes use of a crystallizing and film-forming sealer in addressing seepage and dampness.
This method will cause water to dry up and serves as a natural barrier to keep water out. It is good to prevent the rebar from corroding. Flood Infusion can provide long-term solution for both surface and roots issues, it can effectively seal and protect structures from further water damages including tiny cracks in the wall and lead to a depth sealing. Upon application, the chemical penetrates the substrate to stop the water leakage. This chemical can migrate itself to the concrete just a liquid. The component will crystallise inside and dry up to form a waterproofing barrier that strengthen the substrate. Although it helps to provide rapid protection, it depends on how much chemicals are applied and the curing process. This coating can repel water and it will still allow trapped liquid to evaporate instead of staging and cause further problems.

Flood infusion method benefits are low cost, non-hacking of floor tile, convenient and non-tonic and save time, less hassles to use this technique for waterproofing your home. This method allows owner to fix the water leakage within a day and requires no hacking or removal of existing tile finish. The disadvantage is the waiting time to allow the chemical to penetrate the substrate and dry up will take longer than other waterproofing method such as PU Injection Grouting.
Flood infusion is commonly use in ceiling leakage, leaking toilets, bathroom, shower, balcony and floor, reinforced concrete (R.C.) roof, roofing repair, planter area and many more.
We have more option on waterproofing needs. We have extensive knowledge of different waterproofing techniques, although the flood infusion treatment is often the offered to the homeowner in Singapore.
There is other waterproofing method include using PU injection grouting, clear penetrative waterproofing treatment.
Polyurethane (PU) Injection is a modern waterproofing technique that uses expanding injected polyurethane to stop the water flowing through voids or crack lines in concrete. This is an effective in solving water seepage issues especially applied on the lower floor ceiling where the leak occurs. When injected into concrete during a leak repair, the polyurethane will undergo a chemical transformation from a liquid to a solid. It has a short curing time. It has low viscosity allowing it to seal tiny cracks after curing on moisture.
Polyurethane is a versatile polymer; it is a strong adhesive and waterproofing materials. It is flexible and tough; it enables to protect well against membrane cracks and building movements. PU grouting is highly elastic which provide resistance to thermal expansion as well as deterioration due to exposure to sunlight. This makes it most suitable method for application on bathroom, shower, roof, and balcony especially in areas of high traffic volume.
A hole will be drilled on the underside of the ceiling, polyurethane foam will be injected using a pressure machine. The pressure causes the polyurethane to ascend into tiny crack and voids. PU Injection is highly recommended method to be applied to concrete slabs. After PU injection undergoes an expansion process with water, cracks that are filled and will have a blend of water and the polymer foam. The mixture will expand until there is no more space to fill and the excess will be overflow out to seal off the pathways of the water.
This method also minimal disturbance to everyday activities while the repair is being carried out. It is also cost-effective, messy-free, hassle free, less time consuming as it completes within 1 day than other waterproofing options. Beside the above, it also highly viable and useful solution that can withstand any weather and climate changes condition. It is also best durability which not easily susceptible to wear and tear.
