Re-Waterproofing of Lift Shaft’s R.C. Flat Roof @ Middle Road
Works involved:
Works involved:
1. Hack and remove existing failed waterproofing system at Reinforced Concrete (R.C.) Flat Roof followed by application of full PU-modified elastomeric waterproofing system
2. Laying of waterproofing cement screed to conceal and protect the waterproofing system
3. High Pressure Polyurethane (PU) Injection Grouting to R.C. slab
The office building was suffering from water leakage in their lift shaft which resulted in failure of some of the electrical and mechanical components in the lift system. When our client first approached us, he was very worried that his lift system will get heavily damaged by the water ingress and required our immediate attention to rectify the water leakage issues. After we carried out a thorough and detailed inspection of the water seepage problem, we proposed to re-waterproofing his lift shaft’s R.C. flat roof area and to carry out high pressure PU injection grouting to block out all the existing cracks and joints on the affected R.C. ceiling slab.
We did a concealed waterproofing system for his lift shaft’s flat roof with waterproofing cement screed on top of the completed waterproofing membrane. This way, the waterproofing membrane can be protected from the harsh conditions of heavy rainfall and direct sunlight.
